Driver Quotes

"Managed an early lead from Ghost that was manageable as we went on, though for a good while it wasn't more than 5 secs or so. After a while was able to steadily build on it, though I think ghostie had a backmarker incident that didn't help...

My tires were going off badly. I had two front orange from about lap 10 and two front red from about lap 14. Was super worried about exploding them with a puncture so drove carefully to avoid the curbs, handling didn't seem to suffer anyway.

When the rain stopped I wasn't aware of how far in front of ghost I was, wasn't watching times, but figured it was a fair whack so went immediately in for options. ... only to watch ghost cruise past with 3 laps to go. Fuckity.

So totally banzai'd it, really really super pushin and with the options performing straight away was able to get nice and close and would have had him sometime before the end, but had a wee slippy out of turn 2 that set me back. Was also very surprised at ghost's pace, I thought it'd be a lot easier than it was to get close. Bloody hell. push push push.

So we're swinging through the fast kink in the last straight before the chicane and finish line and I'm right on his tail, I've got great speed, pull to the right thinking ok if I don't see a pass before the chicane maybe I can power past on the straight using option tire power.

But no! Ghostie spins it on the last corner! Again a billion fans scream out in horror (my two fans clap politely)." - Flouncy - GFI

"Japan was OK, qualified 2nd again and started the race ok, gotta love wet Suzuka. Set about trying to catch FLouncy, spun out a number of times, then pitted on lap 14 or so. Came out on Primes and chased him down gaining 3 or so second a lap while he was still on wets I presumed.

Passed him on lap 18 as he was coming outta the pits and tried to maintain my lead. Thought I had it covered until Fredz slowed me down a bit on lap 20 and the final lap I spun out on the final corner trying to hard to defend it from Flouncy. should not have done that and kept my line and just trusted that nothing would come of it but it cost me the race and I finished Second." - Ghost - GFI
