"God, first three laps, including the bloody start I went off on turn 1, having to bloody 3-point turn it to get going again. Had that track nailed when practising, I really failed at taking the rain into account for the first few minutes.

Otherwise clean thereafter, bit of a dice with kikz til he slippy slided it through turn 2, but kept it rolling and fast somehow, we both managed to avoid collision, props to us :}

Then just tried to turn on the pace and catch the leaders, which I managed to do. Pitted the second it looked like the rain was easing, in gamble mode and needed some magic to come my way, then drove fucken immaculately and fast, if I do say so, and hauled them in.

Had resigned myself to 2nd til the 2nd last lap when I realised I was seriously gaining on the Lamb. My tires were in tip top shape, his were fucked, another couple of corners and it would have been on... *sigh* :}" - Flouncy - McLaren


"Valencia for me was OK. First lap I went off with Flouncy on the first corner. I was just about to go around it when I saw his front wing and realised that if I was to take the corner I would take him out and myself as well. So we both went straight and I had to go around the wrong way to get back on track, last. Eventually made up some time but by the 18th lap my tires were all red. I had to let everyone who was chasing me past. I let Kikz by on one straight and by the final lap, I noticed another person coming up behind me. Not knowing who it was I tried my best on tires that were only good for a burnout comp. Final corner the driver caught me finishing a car length in front. Luckily for my it was Sora who I had already lapped." - Ghost - Lotus

"I still don't think I have a good balance for Valencia, qualifying I'm still off the pace at this track, however not to take away from Ghost who was exceptionally quick. At least the gap from last year is an improvement, so will need to work on that for next season. It was a wet start for the race, and easily intermidate, not full wet so the start would be interesting. I got off fine and was close behind Ghost and Ben who both probably braked too late and missed the first turn. I was able to take the lead almost imediately and I started working on building a lead.

I got a decent lead up however on about lap 6 or 7 I did take a spin and that cut my lead to almost nothing as Ghost caught up and was right behind me. It started to dry up quite a bit and it was clear it was time for slicks. I managed to stay in from of Ghost and I pitted on about lap 9 for the option tire. I was tossing up for the entire previous lap weather I should go for the prime instead, but in the end I opted for the option. Ghost must have gone around again after that as I didn't pass him till he pitted on about lap 11 I think. I dare say those two laps cost him as I imediately built a gap, tho I found out later he pitted for more intermediates??? (You really got to fix that Ghost!) I paced myself for the next 7 or 8 laps to conserve the tires because I knew that at the end of the race they would need to be nursed. Clearly Ben had switched to Prime tires which wouldn't have a problem reaching the end of the race. At first I was able to maintain the gap of about 10 seconds, but with about 2 laps to go my tires were pretty much in the red so it was a case of really making sure not to accellerate on during any turn and low shifting in order to eliminate any spin. In the end I was able to hold off, but any more laps I don't think I would have been able to hold off." - Atomic Lambo - Force India
