Driver Quotes

"Spa, well, that was fun. On the main straight where the pit lane and the track merge, the track gets narrower, I couldn't see the wall and hurt my precious wing, landing me in last place on the first lap. I got back up to speed and managed to pass people one by one as they had run wide on the wet corners, 2 cars on one corner, three on the next. I was in 3 or 4th. A couple of of laps later and after a couple of spins, a flat tyre and limping back to the pits from the back of the track. Nothing else too severe happened, it was just really hard being behind someone as they are spraying mist in your face." - Ghost - Lotus

"Well, it was a spa wasn't it? Bloody rain was torturous. Qualifying got off to a really bad start for me. My wheel decided to stop responding so I had to switch to keyboard to set a time. Didn't get many laps in at all. The race was a bit lonely, I was just doing my thing, trying not to spin out, my wheel still refused to work." - bushipoo - Sauber

"I had good pace at Spa and was confident of at least a podium in the dry. Qualifying was solid. I was pretty happy with my lap for second place; a few mistakes I didn't make in practice but decent enough and my fastest ever lap of Spa, given it was an options and I'd been practising on primes. Pity the race was a wash out. I got off the line ok and was cautious in to turn 1, wanting to not take out my teammate bobaj0r as I put it up the inside. I got muscled off the track by Lambo in the corners at the end of the straight in the rain went into the wall and completely broke my front wing. Limped back to the pits for new tyres and set my engine to 'cruise'. Oh I'd also changed my wings from 1 and 1 to 6 and 5 (front and rear) under the belief that I'd need to for the rain. Turns out F1 2010 is a lot more arcade that I'd appreciated and people who didn't adjust their car for the wet (everyone else) could still lap very fast. I pretty much under drove the whole race until the last 2 laps when I found I could go pretty much as hard or harder through the corners (the corner speeds were actually pretty much identical in the wet!!!)" - Kikz - McLaren

"Spa was just horrible. I couldn't get the traction down and I managed to hold 3rd pretty well. However, noobness kicked in and I did a Korean Webber and spun off, leaving me dead last and a broken wing. Eventually, managed to get back to 10th but the story says it all. I think we all didn't expect the rain to be this wet. I was surprised how late I was during braking so I had to go even slower to make sure I didn't spin." - roxas3sora3 - Virgin
