This will crown the champion, the points at the top are so close.

Sad that I will miss this one too as I will be travelling. :(

Jesus, Vik, do you have to be so nice all the goddam time? Here I was coming in to post some brash posey ultramacho final face-off apocalyptic shit, maybe a Lleyton Hewitt pic to really drive home the upcoming end of times duel to the death seriousness, and here you are being all nice and friendly.

Well I won't have it! Inside my head it's been all Rocky jumping up and down after his jog, while Lose Yourself is playing on repeat. I am a fierce road tiger! I eat whole chickens in one bite, I never give more than 50c to buskers, I am death incarnate!

Welp.

This is all fantastically exciting and it's been a pleasure racing against you this season. And yes, we'll do it all over again in the next one :)

Right. All this niceness has to stop. I need you at each other's throat's so you take each other out in both races.

How excitement!!

I have really enjoyed this comeback season, driven one of my best seasons in a long time. Love the rivalries new and old. I'm happy for 4th in the driver championship if I can just stay ahead of Captain Planet and more than happy to win the constructors championship if Vee and myself can just hold it together for one more race.

We can do it Vee!

Great racing everyone - thoroughly enjoyable!

Had two battles with mrbadass - one in each race... and they were basically a copy of eachother. And he beat me (or i beat myself...) both times! Outbraked myself up into Griffins bend...

I'm not sure - someone with a video replay could confirm? I was racing with shooter at the start of race 2, and on the last corner he spun infront of me (then quit). I didn't feel any contact at all, but if there was any, sincere apologies if so. I know i was carrying more speed through the corner, but had planned to take him on up at mountain straight.

This is my first full time season racing online, so i'm not sure how close you can battle before network/internet performance becomes a factor?

Forgot to save the replay before i quit out, unfortunately.

Hi all,

So that's it. Round 8 is done and with it Season 6. Congratulations to Flouncy for just pipping Vik to the championship. A first and second place was just enough to get Flouncy ahead. Tough luck Vik, but you can be extremely happy with your first season and running Flouncy within a few points of the championship is no mean feat. As he said he has been practising for 12 years now :D

Thanks to everyone else for a great night of racing. The Indycar around Bathurts is quite an experience and while there was carnage aplenty, not nearly as much as you would expect. There looked to have been battles up and down the grid and while Race 1 for me was more about setting fast times to recover, in Race 2 I had some excellent battles with MrBadass and Captain.

Commiserations to Shooter whom had some funky technical gremlins in Race 1. Not sure what happened there but hopefully a once off. Not ideal to get this on the last round, but luckily only a few weeks until our first Special Event, which will give you 2 hours of continuous racing to make up for it.

Also watch out for season 7 details - will be hitting the forums sometime this week.

Check out tonight's results here: https://simresults.net/190915-MC2

Cheers
Veedub

If you want a good laugh check out the Incidents section on the results for R2. Hah!

I was pretty skeptical going into this one about Indycars around Bathurst, but was pleasantly wrong. A great night and some excellent battles once again. Thanks all for a great season.

Also not sure what the hosting expenses are but if there was a paypal tip jar I'd happily throw something in it.

YEEAAAAH!!

Fuck yeah. Such a great couple of races too. Great drive all season Vik. You're a gent on the track and damn quick. You were just a few secs behind pretty much all of both races and finished right behind too. Amazing tension. A mighty second.

Luck and a super heightened state of fear saw me through the race 2 carnages. And Vik's through right behind me... neither of us pitted early, both pitted at the same time, very exciting and honourable.

At the end of the day I'd like to thank my racing friends attrition and not fucking up.

Hooray for everything else! But especially me. Gimme dat badge Lambo!

Great Season, Great fun thanks Vee as everyone said you were on point with organizing everything for us!

In the end he was just too quick and too consistent for us all, Great Victory Flouncy ;)

I'm keen for next season would be good if we could get some more cars back in the mix it was awesome when we had it up around 14, is it worth throwing it up in any forums, reddit etc advertising next season or that's a no no? The Enduro will be fun too hope everyone is jumping in for that one as well. See you on the grid soon ASR

I'm keen for damage to be turned on, maybe that'll help people not being too ambitious on the first corner and lap...

Even if just performance impacting damage... There needs to be more of a penality for being careless.

With all the championship excitement I missed this off my original post, but congratulations to JaseGP for the Race 2 win. Controlled it brilliantly from start to end. Well done Jase!
