Just as an example as it's our first round. The qually weather for tomorrow as per the weather report link for Friday 30th between 11am - 12pm (local track time).

You don't need to know the weather. But perhaps if you know the weather in advance you can strategise to give yourself an edge over the competition - especially if there's rain. I'll upload the results for tomorrows weather as well as it becomes available. I might consider moving the weather recorded days back a bit to give a buffer between the weather station and race day.

December 1st weather report for race 1. Time for each RACE weather recording is split into 4 sections based on the track timezone;

9am - 11am
11am - 1pm
1pm - 3pm
3pm - 5pm

Based on the weather report below, in race 1 we'll have the following weather;
Medium cloud > Light rain > Medium cloud > Clear

Qually was already added above. Here is race 2's weather report;

The weather is taken at the track between 9am - 5pm AEDT. I will be moving back the weather recordings so there is a little more buffer between race 2 and the weather report.

Was a great track/car/race to blow out the ol' cobwebs.

Q: Ended up with P2, trying to take care of the tires whilst it was quite cold. Still about a 1+sec off Velos time. Bio keeping very close company.

R1: It was long... so much to remember. Got a little love tap from Bio into T1 on first lap, but all good no real impact on my race. Stayed on the slicks as long as possible, and on the lap i was coming in, i was closing in on Bio or stocko (sorry cant remember) who spun i think entering at the cork screw. We were both held up on the kerbs i think, at least no traction to get out. Eventually we did and it was a recovery drive. I think Velo had some moments and was behind me in P4 and kept it as cool as possible until i missed my braking marker entering T1. Tried to apply pressure and keep it. Kind of did a little. Finished P4. Happy.

R2: Slowly made my way up the grid over a few laps with some conservative driving. I think Bio had some serious pace and unfortunately we had a racing incident into T10. I was going for a optimal line when i should have been more defensive into t10, which opened the door slightly for Bio and we came together at the apex. all good, it happens. Finished....5 after BadAss had a 1 second penalty.

Really looking forward to next week. Well done to Erads and Bio for the wins.

Edit: wooops also sorry to my teamy tranny, who i bumped into T1 on race 1, apologies my bad!

I friggin won a race!!! 8-) :D :mrgreen:

For some context. I've only won 5 races in ASR history before now...
The last time was over 2 years ago!! Something like 9 seasons ago.
http://www.atomicsimracing.net/atomic-f ... season-11/
Back when we're still using the F1 201X games...
(In fact, all my wins previously were with that game)

Yeah basically figured I'd try to stick it out on the slicks. Light rain, and I recall Velo saying it'd clear up afterwards. So just had to hang in there...
Somehow managed it. Velo came screaming past after a little defensive work for a couple corners.
He was 8 secs up the road when the rain stopped.
Was expecting him to hang on with wets but he stopped and I had Flouncy to deal with on my tail for most of the rest of the race.
He kept hard on my gearbox until the last few laps as I got 2s+ gap on him.

Velo was the quicker man for sure (by 2secs a lap!!) but I got lucky on the strat call I guess.

Second race I worked my way up from last to 3rd!!
Equally as impressive imo. Maybe more so as it wasn't luck so much.
Flounce was a tough customer to pass, as always. But after that the only major battle was with Plods after he spun out and was trying hard to hang on to 3rd across the line.

My best weekend in a long time! Woo!

EDIT: Have I just pulled a Kimi and broken the longest amount of time between race wins in ASR history? :P

Was a good night for team red, two wins and a full podium on the second race. Not sure what happened on the corkscrew in the first race. I took a defensive line in..nek minit I was spinning around on the spot and couldn't get moving. Ended up dead last. Then I pitted for wets though obviously for got to change my wet strategy to actual wets because I came out on slicks. I'm kinda glad I messed that up because once the track dried I made good progress. I wonder where I would have ended up though if I stayed out.

Great racing though guys and really looking forward to round 2!

Couple of fun races for not great results. Race 1 I went for the pits but couldn't find my damn pit crew (I have since read Velo's pit guide!), so basically gave myself a stop go penalty for nothing. This meant I lost the time advantage over those who had stopped for wets that the other slick runners gained and was easy fodder for the wet runners.

Race 2 had a good start, felt like I had a good run on Vimes for P2 but missed my apex and gave him a whack. Happily no damage to either car - sorry about that Vimesy. After that I had a few fun battles, most of which I lost. One particularly fun bit was Team Bling in formation, battling it out mid pack. Some good close stuff with Stocko at the end too.

Fun little car, this should be a good season!
