A VERY Comprehensive installation guide from the RSR website for those who haven't already got RSR. Click Here

Atomic Sim Racing Australia RSR Community

http://www.radiators-champ.com/RSRLiveTiming/index.php?page=community_details&communityid=33

RSR Supported Mods:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/18fOaz0jRqtOssWaSw7CvRF9x7acizD-jdChEHd6ot-0/edit

Not sure how often RSR update this but will try and keep and eye on this and advise when there are more tracks and/or cars added/updated.

The RSR Formula 3 should be fun.

----------

Hoping for this to serve a couple of purposes.

Competition of course, we've all spent good money on our rig/set up, so it's a shame to not do more with it, and to see how we stack up against each other for a single lap dash vs a race. Plenty of time to set a faster time and refine/share set ups tips too.

I know i can do with A LOT of help with car set up

Plus hopefully this can help get the ASR name out there a bit more too, can't hurt.

---------

There are a fair few track and car combos ready to go.

Step By Step Guide to setting a time in the Community Event/s.

In game RSR Live Timing Web, you can filter and find "Atomic Sim Racing"

Image

Pick an event:

Image

Click on "Start Engine" and set your time.

Image

Top Tip, at the time of writing, the navigation button's didn't work, i.e. "go back", Easiest way is to click on the Atomic Sim Racing link in the event to see the list of events to set more times in other events. (learnt this the hard way)

This seems to be the best way to make sure your fastest lap updates in the community. As we all have different assist/track conditions on/off. Which could mean that setting a faster time outside of this eg. HotLap will update RSR as a whole, but not your community time. eg:

Note the same car and track, but seems my assist were slightly different, so the faster time was not updated in the community (couple of theories for this, but running with this till i confirm otherwise)

Image

Unfortunately currently there is options for assist and/or track conditions.

-------

Finally. Throw any Track/Car Combo's you want and I'll set it up.

-------

Let the showdown begin.

Yeah, except clicking on the start button does exactly nothing.

So I tried logging in through the login to steam button and nothing happens.

Anyone got this to work?

G

e: not just a Brand's Hatch thing either. The Vallelunga one doesn;t work for me either.

Oh it did do something last time, which was freeze the game....

Steam login for RSR In Game Browser doesn't work, been blocked by Steam. But doesn't matter anyway, RSR already have your Steam ID details to make the link. Test is by doing a hotlap in anything with the RSR App open.

Start Button doesn't work for either of the Brands Hatch GP/Indy tracks. (Still there as I'm hoping RSR can trouble shoot this problem via our page)

But Start Button should work for the rest that I've since set up, worked for the Abarth 500, Formula Abarth, and the F1 GTR, which I failed to complete a clean lap (7 attempts) once i even blew up the gear box after 3 laps :|

Vallelunga worked for me in the Formula Abarth, anyone else getting the same problem?

Sorry kikz, eventually remembered to do it.

Got a couple of Silvertone as well, both Stage 1 and "Norm" Lotus 125.

Spa is up and running too now.

Many more Lotus Exo 125 set up for some fun, by request/suggestion on the other thread.

Should be fun to do a few of these to see where we all stand for the up coming season.

Trent-Bondone is in there just to have something a bit different to do.

Sadly no Lake Louise Ploddy.

There's a few benchmark times up for the T125 & S1 now. I used 30Lt for the T125 and otherwise default setup. I used default setup only for the S1. Maybe maximum 5 laps / minimum of 3 per track.

Have at it! :)

I can't even get my car into 2nd or 4th gear 95% of the time :S How much clutch are you guys slipping to change gears?

ah never mind. I just did something to get all my gears back. did a 1:47.9 with the formula 1. swapped to the bmw rim (more like what these cars where driven with) and did a 1:46.9 (about 0.001 slower than you parkour) on my first flying lap. -- completely stock setup including fuel :) and h-shifting and heel-toe braking like a boss :p

edit: back for 1 single lap of "low" fuel (8 laps) in the tank. drifting like a boss, heel-toeing. riding the clutch. good fun.
Full discretion, zandvoort is the current Formula Renault 2.0 track on iRacing, so I've done about 150 laps around it this week.

Strike and counter strike...

1:44.822 (as above settings)

Don't know the track as well as I should
Don't know the car as well as I should either
Wouldn't know a heel from a toe if ya showed me
10 laps fuel

<Beats chest in manly fashion> :-p

 How else does one drive the Lotus 49? Sorry to disappoint you if you are suggesting auto clutch and shifting - 100% manual here, I just don't do the heal and toe thing or ride the clutch.
