I want to say and like to think that one day i will get to VR, 1080 card was part of the plan, but with higher res VR eventually coming out, the 1080 probably won't be enough.

BUT i am ultimately waiting for AR, so that my real world buttons and stuff are still part my virtual world.

However, I am the CFO, but I will find it VERY hard to justify buying, I barely use my rig as it is, and it's depressing and sad and I miss doing something i enjoy, but time and family and life is currently still getting in the way.

Bit of a sob story, I did have a quick 1 lapper in PC VR, and enjoyed it, and enjoyed A LOT in the PS4 VR (old mate beef has it) But yeah. time.

So I tried this out finally. Last weekend actually.
It seems good so far.
Ran the Lambo at the nooburgring, had quite a lot of fun.
Car felt good to drive, could feel the tyres and now when you were pushing and sliding, being able to catch it and wrangle it back, most of the time. Haha.

Sounds are pretty decent, lots of nice little effects in there that really add. Not just the engine noise...

Controls and everything were easy to set up, I was in game and racing within a few minutes.

I liked the stat builder thing for the driver rating. Gave me something to aim for while I was hotlapping. Didn't quite fully understand how it was working, but I'm sure it will become more apparent.

Only downside was the whack FOV from not having proper triple screen support, but I'm sure it's on its way.

Get in and have a go people.

That means spending money and buying a game when it's relevant though!

Yeah I have. I really like it.
They are doing some good work. The BMW is the most forgiving car and I love the PR circuit.

The latest Assetto Corsa Competizione update brings in the prancing horse
The Ferrari 488 GT3 is introduced into the ACC Early Access program, along with the Hungaroring circuit.

The fourth Early Access update of Assetto Corsa Competizione, which is going to be released today, includes the highly awaited Ferrari 488 GT3, one of the protagonists of the whole Blancpain GT Series championship. The famous Ferrari racing car joins the other GT3 models of BMW M6, Bentley Continental and Lamborghini Huracàn. The Hungaroring circuit is also introduced in the update, for the first time in its history brought to the general public using the Laserscan® technology - usually offered by professional driving simulators.

Gameplay additions
The new build of Assetto Corsa Competizione is not limited to new content, but offers specific gameplay additions to enhance the level of realism, such as the custom, Sprint and Endurance races, now available also for the multiplayer, allowing players to challenge each other in a full racing weekend, with free practice and qualifications.

The custom racing weekend includes a standard racing scenario for those willing to compete using classic settings: free practice, qualification, race.
The Endurance and Sprint modes realistically recreate the Blancpain GT Series ruling, defining the qualification and racing slots for each driver involved in the race.

Broadcasting Mode
Build 0.4 of Assetto Corsa Competizione introduces a first version of the Broadcasting Mode SDK - to the delight of the modding fans which made the original Assetto Corsa even more popular. A new application in the installation folder of the game will allow Steam users to share in streaming and comment the multiplayer races of Assetto Corsa Competizione. Thanks to this new Open Source app, users gain access to a real control room (with camera-swap commands, interactive cams and additional options for editors and commentators) - which will progressively expand thanks to the most talented modders.

Imma just jumping in seeing as it's been quiet here. ACC is flippen incredible. It's the most gorgeous handling and sounding and exciting sim of all time. The way the cars feel is just ridiculously good.

Try it if you've left it a while.

So tried ACC in VR today... it was not good, quite a barfathon!

Put everything down to low and still laggy and jerky

For those who tried it in VR what are your settings?
