Atomic F1 sits down with Williams driver Flukey
Q: What's the most memorable win for you in online racing, and why?
Unfortunately I was hoping to say Silverstone but we all know how that ended up so at this stage since I have yet to score a victory in Atomic my best win was in last year’s UF1R 100% season and Monaco. It was the last race of the season and Sili and I were going head to head for the title and I thought I drove a perfect race for 78 laps not putting a foot wrong (which included not having to pit for a new wing while the rest around had to get there’s changed at one point)....
Q: Describe your driving and racing style:
My driving style....... Rough as guts!!! lol, not sure really I would like to say smooth as I tend to flow my way through corners, but I would like to be more consistent.....
Q: What's your all-time favourite turn (or sequence) of the current tracks:
That’s easy for me, Copse - Maggotts - Becketts - Chapel... When the setup and balance is right man what a set of corners, I can just imagine the real F1 drivers feel when they get a chance to attack those corners.
Q: As above, but which do you hate the most, and why:
Abu Dhabi final sector, Just pure rubbish!!!!! I can never find the right balance to get the car through that entire section as much as I would like.....
Q: You must choose a city for a new Formula One street circuit - which city, anywhere in the world, do you choose, and why?
Yes probably Biased since I live here but running around Sydney botanical gardens with the opera house and bridge in the background with a similar setup to Albert park would be amazing, either day or night. But unfortunately Sydney is run by Greenie/Hippies you want grass paths to replace the roads so it has no chance!!!!
Q: If you could choose one former world champion as your team mate, who would you choose and why?
Vettel, Just so I could beat him and stick that little finger up where the sun don’t shine!!!!
Q: Formula One innovations of the past - ground effect, active suspension, turbocharging, six wheels, the list goes on. If you could bring back one past innovation, what would it be and why?
None, well turbo charged engines are back for 2014, but I like innovation and happy with how things in f1 are travelling atm.
Q: What current Formula One regulation would you most like to change and why?
Bring back refuelling….Having the cars run flat out for 100% of the race still can offer excitement along with the Tyres, KERS and DRS. What a mix.
Q: If you could pick two Formula One greats of the past (from different eras) to watch race against each other, who would you pick?
Senna in his prime v shumacher in his prime, as much as I hate it Shumi was good and unfortunately an untimely death robbed us of those 2 going at it...
Q: Just 19 of the worlds motor racing circuits feature on the current Atomic F1 calendar. You can add one more. Which circuit do you pick and why?
Kyalami – South Africa… Don’t know really why, I don’t mind the look of the circuit and I guess if included it would mean a race on each of the world continents.
Q: You are having a dinner party and can invite four people from the world of motorsport, past or present. Who do you invite?
You are having a dinner party and can invite four people from the world of motorsport, past or present. Who do you invite?
Webber, Will Power, Casey Stoner and Lowndes , as they are my 4 favourite drivers/Riders across 4 category’s as Im sure 5 Aussies in a room would be more enjoyable then adding other nationalities.
