Profile

zdievo’s first racing game was the original The Need for Speed, he loved driving the Lamborghini Diablo VT hitting the top speed 202mph, boyhood dream come true “Wow the graphics were awesome!” he recalls. Real passion for racing started with Gran Tourismo, had the patients to play the same race over and over and over and over………… (make yourself a cup of tea)…………… and over again to win the car and sell it and save up the credit to buy what he wanted and do the upgrades he needed, again recalling how the graphics could NEVER get better than this.

Loved continued for both Gran Tourismo 2 and 3, even all the long endurance races in GT3, he just loved it, shocked how realistic the graphics were. During all this he realised a weird thing he had doing, he would never sell a single car that he had brought himself, no matter how much he needed the money, he would just keep doing the same boring race over and over (you get it) again. Skipped GT4 completed, and waited for GT5, it was coming soon. A year or two later with release dates pushed back further and further and having played about 20 Need for Speed titles in that time, it was FINALLY out. And the graphics, could honestly never be better now.

Comes the G27 wheel, “couldn’t play this game without it now” he says. F1 2010 was soon after released, and picked that up for his PS3 as well. Took him over half the season to get the hang of F1 racing, it was far cry from playing GT5.

Interestingly enough in all this time the only time he raced someone was with friends on a split screen, never did he go online. Till August/September 2012 when someone from the FIA of Atomic F1 approached him with a seat at Williams F1 with rogue (who was interestingly enough the FIA bloke, and someone his known for a while) for a weekly online competition with a great bunch of guys. However it was PC only, was going to build one for the purpose of the competition, however another mate of his had a PC that had been gathering dust for a long while, so took that instead and still has it to date. And the rest as we know it is history.
