Driver Quotes

"This track always seems like work, still nice with a cool blend of fast variable throttle corners. You really need to manage the throttle so carefully on several corners here...

Had a good start off the line and Lambo right in front of me didn't. I had enough speed on him to be at least side by side turning into turn 1, if not past him, but the cheeky bugger saw this and moved to block me, had to lift off... s'alright, I would have done the same thing.

Then it was kikz blazing ahead, ghost, lambo and me. A couple of laps in on turn 1 I was following Lambo and he went a bit wide while my line is to follow the curb in the last part, so in a flash I was inside Lambo - it wasn't an overtaking move, just found myself there in a blink of an eye, I did brake to slow and get behind you safely but you turned back in too quickly and we touched. Sorry about that, wasn't going for a move there...

A couple of laps later I tapped kikz, you went invisible right as I was close and I couldn't tell where you were. That hardly happens so unsure why the game decided to do that. In any case I tapped you, so sorry about that.

Then it was me and ghosty, I had the lead for a good while and he was enough car lengths behind to give me comfort, but threaten me all the time. I went wide on that bloody second last corner (end of the epic straight - you know, the place that costs you races...) and he was by. I stayed behind for a while til he pulled away a football field length.

Last few laps I was safely in 2nd enough to really take risks and push, engine on fast and went all out. Seemed to close a bit but not enough, til last couple of laps all of a sudden I was on him. Not quite enough to challenge, though fredz positioned himself nicely on the second last corner right between us, but alas it didn't help me." - Flouncy - GFI

"China was ok. I had good qualifying speed and could was close. Closer than Sepang anyway. I really enjoy the first few turns and I think I've always done exceptionally well there. I got into first place from the start and led for the first 6-7 laps Ghost start to mount an effort. We battled closely, with me actively defending lines. We had an both had an off on the hairpin after the straight as I took the inside line and he went left.

Ghost was probably being polite and not turning in on me. I missed my break point being too concerned with defending and would have certainly hit Ghost if he turned in. I managed to get back on track still in the lead but Flouncy was close behind. He came up in the inside in turn 1 and I got tapped sending me off into the sand to jump a few curbs. Not too bad. I was about 4-5 second back and in 3rd when I got on track.

A few laps later Fredzfrog was off on the same turn and as he joined the track he also joined my sidepod. no damage but again an off and a few more seconds lost. I made an error on 6 for 4 consecutive laps near the end, when Bollum was close behind. In the end I cruised into a comfortable 3rd." - TurrbalTerror - McLaren
