Driver Quotes

"So felt great sitting on pole for Silverstone, even with the rain. Especially awesome to get away well and see and hear pandemonium behind me, and the little orange dots fall way back. All I had to do was stay as fast as I could while ghost caught me like I knew he would.

When he got by I was just focussed on staying in range so when the tires came on I could go for it. They did and I did. Got up a couple of lengths behind him and gaining fast, then spun the fucker, a small spin but I fell back. So at it again, chasing hard, again got up to him and a pass was imminently probable as I was a second or two faster a lap but then my awesome new wheel totally detached from the desk..." - Flouncy - GFI

"Lambo, real sorrry mate, my car just would not steer around the corner and you braked before I though you would. I dunno, rain brings out the devil in me. Kikz and Boba, I tried to stay out of the way on the second lap, and I thought I had the speed to get away quite easily, but I looked in my mirror and there you both were, right there. Again, sorry. Chased down Flouncy and caught up to him by lap 4.

But my connection started to play up and he was ghosting all over the place, making it hard to pass. I think I made him spin once by on my screen he was about 3 foot away. He might have been hit by me but lag was showing he was well in front. Managed to pass him a little later and gained a lead. Rest of the race I was just driving, trying to stay away from Flouncy.

The on about lap 18 he spun and gave me a good 9 second lead. He pitted soon after and left Boba to chase me down. I was a good 30 seconds in front by then and the last 2 laps I just took really easy, not wanting to spin at all." - Ghost - GFI

"Silverstone in the rain was terribad. I got up a place or two off the line as Ghost bogged down. beside bobaj0r. I saw him slip through the first few corners and held it to second. We tussled for a bit. Ghost came up the inside and passed across the start finish line. Stuck in the spray I couldn't see a thing and pulled right. Ghost turned and I turned. I went sliding way off track and Ghost went a little off.

Not sure if we touched? Over the next few laps I struggled to stop for any corner and was battling hard with ET as Fredzfrog drove away into the distance. By maybe lap 6-7 I figured out I should be left foot braking and my pace picked up and I dropped ET. I saw boba in 4th at 48s down the road. Over the next laps until the end that figured reduced down to 40s, with as a low as 38s at one point, with a second or two going up then coming back down.

Was going to pit on lap 17 for tyres then thought I'd make it through to the end. I did. Just. Seems staying out was the thing to do, as shown by Flouncy. I was fortune in Flouncy and Lambo having their problems or it would have been much worse." - TurrbalTerror - McLaren

"Silverstone. I hate it. Not because I can't race there, It's just not a flowing track for me. I find it dull and difficult to get a groove. Generally we have wet weather in qualifying which makes things interesting, but nothing like that for this race. Super dry. Once again lack of practice on this track (and since I don't like it, makes it easy), but generally I'm still competent. Race day was wet, very wet so it was another cautious start.

The first few laps were met with cautious braking and acceleration. Ghost I think made a bad start as he was behind me Kikz and Bobaj0r I think, but passed all three of us in the back section as Kikz and Bobaj0r faught and I man handled out of the way. For some time I was behind Ben in 3rd who managed to keep a small gap, however on lap 16 I think, I had to take a call from my builder so I had to park it for a few laps. I think if it wasn't for that I would have finished 2nd behind Ghost as Ben made the call to move to slicks which turned out disasterous. Video of Silverstone to come probably tomorrow." - Atomic Lambo
