Driver Quotes

"OMFG, what a nasty surprise. I thought it wouldn't be too different to Queensland Raceway. But the F1 car refused to do a decent lap. Sometimes, I get Sector 2 and 3 right then the next lap I'll muck up because of the lack of grip. Rain didn't help either as I tried to do what I can. Eventually on lap 8-9, the inevitable happened and I crashed the car badly at Turn 6. I was losing grip coming into the corner and went in sideways before I got grip, went too fast and facepalmed a concrete barrier at 250km/h. So basically, I did a wet Korean Webber into a concrete barrier. :" - roxas3sora3 - Virgin

"Brasil is a new favourite. Top little goat track, that. Found the rhythm and put in a decent qualy, sure I could have gone a bit faster, but us Future World Champions just think like that.

After losing it on lap 1 figured we'd all all be seeing lots of spins so just stuck with it. Waved hi to Mark after a while while he was doing doughnuts after a slippy slide, then tucked in 15 odd secs behind ghost aka Rain Man. As the tires warmed discovered I could drive as if in dry, think Ghosty was on top of that too. Gap came down a sec or so a lap, it was looking like a ghost win though, didn't think there was enough laps to make it close enough.

Then I hear a bit of radio chatter and pass ghostie as he's recovering from a bit of an incident. At exactly the same time it looks like fredz also had a moment. Drive it home for a bucket of points and face the anger of the partisan Brazilian crown who try to kidnap me on the way back to the hotel." - Flouncy - McLaren

"Brazil I didnt really have any hope of racing good. Then the rains came and I was happy. It took a while to get to the front of the pack but once there it was like I was just cruising around. Watching the split time between Flouncy and I. I noticed him falling behind until I received no split time. I decided to take it a bit easy with 10 or so laps left. Then I started receiving split times again. with split time like 11s, 10s, 11s, 10s, 9s, 8s, lap after lap. I thought I had it in the bag. 2 Laps left, 8 seconds in front, what could possibly happen.....MY TEAMMATE HAPPENED! I came around a corner and there was Fredz, rolling backward from one side of the track to the other. Leaving me nowhere to go. I T-Boned him, breaking my front wing and allowing Flouncy to pass." - Ghost - Lotus

"Was always going to be tough, Mark is very very fast around here. But obviously alot of people had practiced this one. Was very cool to see the top 4 all on the same 1:10 time. As it was poreing down rain for the race, 4th might not have been so bad since you never know what can happen. Clearly tho my setup does not like the rain and I spun so many times that my finishing position was never in doubt. Even when the weather did clear it was way to late for it to make any difference and I while I did set a 1.11 time on slicks it would have been more interesting if we had 10 odd laps left. Either way one to forget." - Atomic Lambo - Force India
