"Qualifying. This was interesting as I hit 1:38. I have never ever hit that magic number in single player. Looks like the new setup at the last minute was proving to be great. For the race, I decided to change the setup to be partial wet/dry. In hindsight, this was probably the best idea ever as the race got underway. It was rather hilarious that Lambo got before fredz given fredz's bad luck. 5 grid penalty? Sure, only for fredz.

Race. Oh boy. I knew this was a doozy but the first corner I decided to play it safe only to have Ghost barge me off at the next corner. Recovering, I chased down Ghost which wasn't easy. I was surprised how I was able to keep up to mark and as well as Ghost until a spin at 134R costed me more time. Keeping pace, I was able to pit and keep up with the leaders. Eventually crossed kikz which I expected him to be on my ass within moments. However, he left which made it easier to me. Continuing the pace, I kept going until I past Ghost which was down and out. He too left which help. However, I was running into trouble as my tires were literally red so I pitted for primes. This made it even harder as I couldn't get the temps high enough and with Lambo chasing down, I had to dig deep and be prepared to block him for 3rd. Luck was again with me as the laps ran out. "Qualied well though I would've topped kikz' qualy time had I not followed fredz partially into a sand trap on the last qualy lap. Race started well. Followed Ben close for a lap. kikz and myself tussled a little switching position then on the chicane before main straight we both spun of our own accord and gave ghost 2nd, myself now in 3rd. Caught up to ghost and we commenced battle. EPIC racing! Switched positions a few times but I ended up following him. I knew from qualy I had 0.2s on him per lap so when he pitted I stayed out and went for it on orange tyres though they felt rather ok. Pitted after 2 laps for hard tyres, came out and just scraped in front of him into turn one. We then commenced round two battle. I was a tad sloppy but managed to keep in front of him for many laps. Then he stuffed a corner and he mentioned something about only seeing billboard logos then a black screen so I'm guessing he had video card trouble. :( bl mate. From there I realised I was 10 secs behind Ben! Thought I'd try catch him but thought who am I kidding so just tried maintaining position. Ended up ~15s behind him at finish. "Qualifying was ok. I was 0.6 up at the first split before coming off into degner (before going under the bridge). I'd crossed the line with 1 second to go on the start of that lap, so that was it. I wouldn't have got first anyway, so it didn't matter. The race was ok. usual slow start and battled mark84 for second. I ran out of steam in my arms after about 4 laps and couldn't be fucked turning the wheel any more." - TurrbalTerror - Force India
