Driver Quotes

"Decent start, finally no one spins me! Was ahead of Flouncy. Following close behind and being a proper team player in not compromising us both. Realising he was faster anyway I braked early at a corner and let him though. I think kikz spun some where here and I passed him.
Managed to hang on to the back of the front three car squabble in visual distance on straights. The same lap Flouncy and Lambo pitted I did too. Funny listening to Lambo later in race thinking I'd started on primes, if he'd looked back during his pit stop he'd of recognised I was fighting him for position I parked right behind him." - Eradicator - McLaren

"Ironically, real circuits are the problem as Silverstone was just horrible. I couldn't get the car to behave at all. All the settings didn't make it better. And I made it worse by putting intermediates on, thinking it'll probably start raining after 4 or so laps. Bad idea as I wasted more time in pitting to correct my mistakes. Eventually, it rained but the race was over already." - roxas3sora3 - Virgin

"Made a mess of qualifying big time, but didn't matter, through the opening laps were were all tight and racing! Fantastic - it was so awesome to see so many fast cars grouped tail to tail, lap after lap. Cheers Mark for the courtesy, worked out well points wise.

Eventually snipped by one by one, nice passing fun, Lambo was a bit slow through Arena so was able to slice up and pass there, then away for a lonely drive, kinda wishing I was back in the action that seemed to last the whole race.

Overall it's a great result for the team on our home track, and our fans are a pack of miserable cretins." - Flouncy - McLaren

"Wow, what nice close racing. First lap I was in 3rd but missed the 2nd corner and drove straight over the grass losing a couple of positions. Then I made up some time and was watching the map. 2 cars in front of me racing really close, and 2 cars behind me who were also racing really close. Me in the middle. I was going to be a third wheel in one of those battles and I made it up to Flouncy and Lambo who were both pretty slow around the esses Maggots, Becketts and Chapel. Then on the back straight Lambo holding us both back on Abbey and the following sharp 2nd gear corner. Eventually got past and was chasing Flouncy competitively although him always about 12 seconds in front. Then by the last few lap the rain came. I was on slicks and there was no way I was pitting. Eased it around the track for a few laps and made it home without losing a place. Very nice raing peeps. Makin me proud to be in the comp." - Ghost - Lotus

"Anyone who asks will know, I hate this track I don't like it at all because it's one of those tracks that doesn't feel flowing. It seems to be a continual waiting game of when you can get on the power. The last turn is a classic example turning in waiting waiting waiting for the car to turn in till you can put the foot down. As kikz and Ben both noticed, my lines are very much different to theirs. Qualifying it was wet, and it was clear just on setup that pole in the wet was out of the question. However it did start to dry with about 4 minutes to go and I quickly switched to options to see how much grip there was. Clearly there was alot as I was able to pole by half a second. I dare so tho that if Ben had put on the slicks he would have been on Pole. As for the race, got of to a good enough start held first and for the next 8 odd laps some epic racing. Clearly I was not quick around here so I dare say I was backing the pack up, but even when we switched places we were still following each other around. On lap 9 we all pitted at the same time, however after that I couldn't get the best of the primes. Clearly there is a bug because every single car I saw had option tires on their cars, which is why I thought Mark hadn't pitted yet. Clearly that was wrong, but regardless he made a stunning pass out of the first turn on me which caught me unawares and from then on I was always going to settle for a 5th or worst. Overall exciting racing, and the last spots of rain didn't affect the result. Tho I did enjoy Ben thinking I had gone into the pits for wet tires. Pretty much useless unless there was at least 10 laps to go." - Atomic Lambo - Force India
